A lovely set of Shaker Nesting Boxes, 6 in total crafted by SHAKER ROADS. The smallest measures 3.75” wide while the largest measures 8.75” wide. All in excellent condition with spalted lids.
Spalting is a natural coloration caused by fungi in the wood, creating highly unique, marbled pattern.
The swallowtails or fingers traditional to a Shaker box allow the wood to expand and contract without splitting. The overlapping joints are tightly secured with traditional copper tacks.
