Christmas Crumb Tray and Brush
The history of the antique crumb tray and brush traces back to the Victorian era, with the first ones appearing around the 1850s. Initially, butlers used these tools to sweep crumbs from the tablecloths between courses to avoid changing linens. Popular through the late Victorian period and into the early 20th century.
This tray and brush was made specifically for the Christmas season. The tin tray is painted red and decorated with holly and berries. The brush is wood is decorated the same. The bristles are in very good condition
There is some paint loss to both, please see pictures for condition. Tray measures 9” x 6” and the brush is 12” long.
Would make an unique addition to any vintage/antique Christmas collection.
